<_Lofty_> Unfortunately, none of the winners have got into contact with me regarding the ceremony so I'll just list the positions and then cover the changes for next round and the setup for havoc.
<_Lofty_> Our top planets are: #1 RaZeR, #2 "Seven of Nine", #3 SniperMonkey
<_Lofty_> I don't know if "Seven of Nine" is here, but congratulations on getting #2 Smile
<_Lofty_> Top galaxy is 4:3 (rbeard, gangster, SniperMonkey, RaZeR, Xyphistor, and Silver). Congratulations to those guys. Smile
<_Lofty_> And finally, top alliance tag is Team2 which is sirad's alliance. Smile

<RaZeR> I would like to point out that the BS strategy only just worked this round
<RaZeR> it was much closer than it has been in the past
<RaZeR> which I think is a credit to Xyph's new shipstats
<RaZeR> Syit bs #1 and uedf de #2 means it wasnt perfect, but I think it was a lot closer than it usually is...

<Xyph|L|Away> the few times we did get incs people came on when we phoned them and got def flying nicely

<RaZeR> Vaguely on a related note, kudos to 3:3:6 and 3:1:4 for having a go at me last night... I very nearly didnt log in, and that would have cost me the top finish Razz

<RaZeR> nope, they noticed that I was weak against corvettes, and tried to exploit it with some fairly nasty syit co fleets Smile
<RaZeR> would have cost me 1.5m score, and they would have lost 1/3 of that, so it was a good effort

<RaZeR> actually, I just want to say that I hope everyone enjoyed the round with the new stats Smile
<RaZeR> was a bit of a slow start as people got used to them, but I hope the guys in the other 4 main gals had fun with them

<_Lofty_> Just as a side note, it was nice to see how close the top galaxies and planets were for most the round.

<_Lofty_> ok, it appears there's still no-one around to speak on behalf of the top alliance, so that concludes the main part of the ceremony.
<_Lofty_> So, setup and changes for next round!...
<_Lofty_> Signups will open Saturday 7th August with tickstart a week later on the 14th.
<_Lofty_> Ticks will be 30 minutes as voted for by players in the in-game poll, and the round will run for 3 weeks.
<_Lofty_> Universe setup will be the same as it was this round (Alliances enabled, Private galaxies disabled, BPs of 3, Galaxies of 6).
<_Lofty_> We'll have the usual tweaks to shipstats carried out by Xyphistor and/or myself.
<_Lofty_> There'll be some improvements to how the inactive/defending fleet-control works, to give more flexibility and solve some issues with the current system. Details on this will be given in the announcement post once the new system has been finalised.
<_Lofty_> Salvage will be increased for small planets when defending themselves. How exactly this will work hasn't been decided yet, but we're looking at a 50-60% salvage rate for the smallest planets.
<_Lofty_> There'll also be some improvements to the scans page.
<_Lofty_> ...and other cool stuff, if there's time!
<_Lofty_> Finally, havoc week will be starting tomorrow at 14:00 with 5 min ticks.
<_Lofty_> Vacation mode will be limited to 288 ticks (24 hours), 99:1 will be opened up for attack, and new-planet-protection will be disabled for the duration of the week.
<_Lofty_> If you want to change race, make sure you do it before havoc starts or you'll lose the res/orbs boost.
